FAB - Fundraisers Anxiety Busters

Fundraisers Anxiety Busters (FAB) is a peer support network for intermediate and seasoned fundraising staff.  These events feature dynamic discussions designed to support professional fundraisers in both the tactical and relational aspects of development work. Most importantly, FAB forums give development staff a space to voice challenges and brainstorm creative solutions alongside peers.

“If you think fundraising is merely about raising money, you really are missing the point. The inspired fundraiser understands her job is to foster greater generosity and gratitude in the world.” – Gayle Roberts from “Everything You Know About Fundraising is Wrong”

Ever-more challenging annual goals, tightening budgets, smaller staff, less support. In today’s challenging times, it’s easy for fundraisers to get overwhelmed with the mounting pressures of raising the money our organizations need to deliver critical services that keep our communities stable and vibrant. Now more than ever, as fundraisers we must shore ourselves up by reconnecting to our career’s higher purpose – the purpose that extends beyond income statements, grant reports and annual fund goals. Drawing from her inspiring article, “Everything You Know About Fundraising is Wrong,” consultant Gayle Roberts will facilitate a discussion designed to help participants recharge and become re-energized about our unique and important role as fundraisers.

PRESENTERS:

Gayle Roberts is President of Fundraising for Nonprofits,  Associate with FireHorse NonProfit Development and Former Board Chair of DER.  She has twenty-five years of nonprofit management experience and for-profit business ownership, having worked for agencies with budgets from $250,000 to $8,500,000. Her specialties include major donor initiatives, annual fund support, grant writing, Board development and executive coaching. Gayle brings strong skills in collaborative management, strategic planning, marketing communications and community relations to her work.
